Christopher Yian, MD
Dr. Christopher Yian earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Michigan Integrated Premedical-Medical Program. He graduated with numerous awards including Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society. He completed his surgical internship and residency training in Otolaryngology at Washington University in St. Louis, MO.
By having an extensive background in research, Dr. Yian authored multiple scientific papers in his field. He was selected as a Howard Hughes Research Scholar at the National Institutes of Health and was the distinguished recipient of the Dean Lierle Research Award. His focus included sensori-neural hearing loss, facial nerve repair, and head and neck cancer.
Dr. Yian is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery. He is fully trained in dealing with all ear, nose and throat disorders and enjoys working with patients of all ages. Community outreach has always been important to him and he actively participates in activities to educate the community on prevention and treatment of head and neck disorders. His patient care philosophy is to treat all people the same way he would like to be treated himself. His clinical interests include general adult and pediatric otolaryngology, sinus disease and head/neck cancer and endocrine surgery. Dr. Christopher Yian has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Castle Connolly Top Doctors 2023-2024. The prestigious recognition marks the third time that he has earned this honor.
Dr. Yian was born in New York but grew up in Michigan. He enjoys spending his free hours with his wife and two young sons. Dr. Yian is an avid tennis player and loves hiking.
